Clarksville Gas and Water Department plans Franklin Street Water Outage, Road Closure for Water Valve Replacement - Clarksville Online - Clarksville News, Sports, Events and Information

Low water pressure possible for vicinity

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has planned a water outage on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, at 10:00pm on Franklin Street from South Second Street to South Third Street for water valve replacement.

Low water pressure may be possible for the vicinity during the work.

In preparation of the work, utility construction crews will close Franklin Street from South Third Street to North Second Street and on North Second Street from Strawberry Alley to Franklin Street at 7:00pm.

Traffic will be detoured to North Third Street and Strawberry Alley to avoid the work zone. Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to workers and their equipment.

The water valve replacement is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 5:00am on Friday, October 18th.
